On 5 October 2011, Kraków hosted the first International HAZEX Seminar on “Industrial explosion risk – ATEX”. The organiser of this unique event, on behalf of Intercontinental Association of Experts for Industrial Explosion Protection, was WOLFF GROUP. Apart from substantive lectures addressed to the management and persons in charge of safety in their companies, the conference offered also:
- a live demonstration of dust explosion blast force,
- a contest with valuable awards for the symposium participants.
In 2011, HAZEX conferences and seminars were held, among others, in Shanghai and Nuremberg, during POWTECH fairs.

Speakers
At the seminar, the speeches were delivered by international experts on explosion safety of a reputation proved by:
- the membership in the European Committee for Standardization on explosion safety (including CEN and VDI),
- the participation in numerous investigations on dust and gases explosions,
- conducted experimental studies on explosion hazards,
- published dozens of papers on dust and gases explosion effects as well as their mineralisation measures.
Simultaneous interpreter
The seminar was held in two languages-Polish and English. All lectures, questions and discussions were simultaneously interpreted (each participant was provided with a wireless headset).
Seminar agenda
The type of the seminar encouraged participant for discussion and asking questions. Owing to that, the most interesting issues were emphasised.
